Bath Time Fun

It is safe to say, that Sofia's favorite thing in the world is Bath Time. She loves it! She is always very alert and smiling ...
She also likes to chit chat with mommy and the bubbles...

I'll have to admit, it is my favorite time of the day too!!

Doctor's Appointment

Today was Sofia's two month check-up. Being new parents, we didn't know what to expect. We had heard from other parents that shots would be involved. Luckily, both Charlie and I were able to go. It started out okay. She was happy and smiling as they weighed her and took her measurements. She weighs 9 lbs. 5 ounces and is 21 inches long. After asking the doctor several questions, it was time for her shots. You know how babies cry so hard they turn purple and can't catch their breath? Well, that was Sofia. I'll admit... I cried right along with her. Good thing Daddy was there to be the strong one!!

So when we got home...Sofia did a lot of this..

And a lot of this...

Thankfully, by Sunday she was back to her normal, happy self.

For her next round of shots, I think Daddy is going alone!!

Grandma and Papa are in Maui...

Dear Grandma and Papa,

I was just wondering why you didn't take me with you to Hawaii. After all, I fly for free and mommy had this week off from work. Well, if you would have taken me, I would have loved to lounge by the pool with you...

Can I have a virgin lava flow please?

I even had a pretty dress all picked out for Mama's Fish House...

Well, maybe next summer we can go as a family. I miss you a lot and can't wait to see you on Saturday!

Someone Slept in her crib last night...

That's right you guessed it...Sofia slept in her crib for the first time last night. With the exception of one middle of the night feeding. I'll have to admit, I was like Shirley MacLaine in Terms of Endearment shaking the crib every five minutes to make sure she was breathing! =) All in all, it was a good night!

Another Busy Weekend

Today was Charlie's "off" Friday. The day started out with Charlie taking Sofia for a walk, while I actually got some stuff done around the house. Do you think the dogs wanted to go? Don't worry they did!

It was such a beautiful day, we decided to take Sofia to the Sherman Oaks Galleria to walk around. We stopped for an early dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Of course right when our food came Sofia decided she was hungry too! Welcome to parenthood! =)

She was awake for the rest of the dinner. Enjoying the scenery and a little mommy time.

On Saturday, Charlie's Uncle Ernest, Aunt Louisa, and Cousin Louisa came over to meet Sofia.

On Sunday, we went to Anabelle's baby shower. Of course, I forgot the camera again! We had a great time visiting with friends. Sofia was a perfect angel the entire time. When we got home, Grandpa Chaivat and Grandma Irma came over to get their weekly fix of Sofia.



Another great weekend!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Today was Sofia's 1st Valentine's Day! We got her all dressed up and headed to Aunt Jen and Uncle Andy's house for a fabulous dinner!

We of course had to take pictures of the girls together in their Valentine outfits. Sofia slept through the entire celebration!

After we got home Grandma and Grandpa Patanasiri came by to give Sofia her Valentine's Day present. She slept through that visit also. After our busy evening and everyone was gone, Sofia woke up and was wondering..."Where did everyone go?"...She was finally ready to party!!

Happy Birthday Charlie!!

Today is Charlie's 34th Birthday!!

Sofia and I took a trip to Palmdale for Charlie's Birthday Luncheon at Love Sushi. All of his co-workers were so excited to meet Sofia. It was nice putting faces to the names I have been hearing about for years.

That evening we met Charlie's parents and brother at Red Lobster. I forgot the camera for both of his Birthday celebrations. I'm going to blame it on sleep deprivation!!

Tomorrow night we are going to my parent's house to celebrate. Bonnie is whipping up a Thanksgiving dinner for him. For those of you who know me, you know I'm a picky eater. I figure between Love Sushi, Red Lobster, and a Thanksgiving dinner I can hopefully take off a few pounds of my baby weight!!

Guess who's a month old???

SOFIA

I can't believe it has already been a month!

• She is almost out of her newborn clothes.
• She is staying awake for longer periods of time.
• She loves her swing and vibrating chair.
• She loves to make funny faces.
• She will go to anyone, but if she gets fussy, she calms down as soon as she is back with mommy or daddy. (Love that)
• She loves to lay in her play gym
• She is eating 3 1/2 ounces every three hours like clockwork!

We can't wait to see what next month has in store for us!!

Superbowl 2009

Today is Superbowl Sunday!! Our friends Aaron and Sandy invited us over to watch the game. Charlie could not be more excited to introduce Sofia to football. Needless to say he dressed her for the occasion...

I of course , love the Superbowl for one reason...the Commericals!!

Sandy enjoyed some Sofia time...

I don't think Sofia inherited the "I Love Football" gene from Charlie...It's okay though..I see some dance classes in her future!
