A Little Spring Shopping....

Now that everyone is feeling better. We decided to make a few purchases. My lease was up on my BMW so we had to find a new car. We decided we wanted to go bigger because of our growing family. So we went car shopping. And, I can honestly say....I hate car shopping!!! You see, my husband is the rational one who wants to get the best deal. And I am the "fully-loaded" kind of girl. After three days of test driving, we finally made a decision. And did I mention it is "fully-loaded" (wink-wink)....We bought a Mercury Mountaineer with leather seats, DVD player, navigation system...the works! We love it!

Also, we have been looking for a patio set since we moved into our house almost five years ago. We wanted a nice sitting area for our courtyard. Charlie found a great deal he just couldn't pass up. We have been really enjoying it! Now we are on a budget!! No more big purchases for us this year!!!

P.S. I just read this blog to my husband and he said "No more purchases this year...period...Big or Small.

Calgon Take Me Away...

Sorry for the lack of posts lately but....

I should have known what I was in for when I came home from work last Friday and found this.....

That's right!! This is how my weekend started and it did not get any better. Charlie finally caught my cold that I have had for weeks. And Sofia... got worse and worse each day, so Monday I took her back to urgent care and she has Bronchitis.
The pediatrician said it's her body trying to rid of all the yucky stuff. Her eyes are all red and goopy. Her nose is full of snot. And she is coughing and sneezing constantly. And the BEST part is...she is under six months so she can't take ANYTHING for it...we just have to let it pass.



But let me tell you...if there is a booger sucker competition out there....I would win hands down!!!!

Cross Your Fingers ...I think Sofia is Feeling Better...

Today Sofia and I stayed home to rest and get better. Last night per doctor's orders we gave her Tylenol and a bottle and put her to bed at 11:00. She woke up this morning at 5:30 just so happy. Mommy not so happy. I didn't get much sleep with my cough last night. So we went downstairs for a bottle and a little cuddle time...

We haven't given Sofia a bath since Saturday...(Don't judge me) She has been so fussy and we weren't sure what she had...and of course Charlie wanted to keep her extra warm...so a bath was out of the question...Since Charlie was at work...I gave her a bath...I let her soak and relax for a little bit...She loved it!!

She smelled so pretty after her lavender bath...I could have eaten her...
After we got dressed...it was time for Sofia's favorite new thing...THE FAN...She will lay and stare at that thing for hours...We don't let her of course...but she loves it...
She stayed awake most of the day...again mommy not happy...I was hurting...So after our afternoon bottle it was time for the, as we like to call it, baby smack down, and look she seems okay with it...
Aww...she finally fell asleep...it is time for my nap...Hallelujah!!!

A Not So Happy St. Patrick's Day...

The last three days Sofia has been a little under the weather. She has been super fussy and not her normal happy self...today she slept all day...only waking up for her usual feedings. I have not been feeling well also. I have been coughing my head off and blowing my nose every two minutes. When Charlie got home we decided it was time to go to urgent care!! However, being mother of the year...I had to get a few pictures in her St. Patty's Day onesie before we left...And no I did not spike her bottle with some green beer...

So I decided to kill two birds with one stone and have both of us be seen. We were lucky enough to get Bella and Livvie's pediatrician Dr. DeVita whom we love. It turns out Sofia has a tear duct infection and most likely the viral infection that I got diagnosed with! We headed home with eye drops for Sofia and antibiotics and cough syrup for mommy!

This is how we ended the holiday...nice and cuddly... I think tomorrow there will be lots of cuddling with mommy. And I have to say...I'm looking forward to it!

Martha's 50th Surprise Birthday Party...

Today we went to Charlie's aunt Martha's 50th surprise birthday party. It was the first time most of his family would be meeting Sofia. We got her all dressed up in her pretty pink party dress.

Abby couldn't wait to meet her new cousin. Abby was having fun playing with all of the big cousins, but about every 1/2 hour she would run up to me and ask if we were leaving. She didn't want her little cousin Sofia to go home!

As soon as we got there, it was time for a bottle. Grandpa Chaivat jumped at the chance to feed his granddaughter.

After being spoiled all day...it was time to head home...and Sofia was ready for a long nap in the car!

Sofia's New Ears...

Grandma and Papa went to Disneyland last week for Papa's Birthday. We decided we want to wait a little while to take Sofia. It's so expensive and she is only 2 months old. But they brought Sofia back a present...

She loves her new "ears" and look it even has her name on it...

Mommy Goes Back to Work...

Last Wednesday, I went back to work. Luckily, Charlie had some vacation time so he got to stay home with her. I had a long talk with her that morning. See the confused "You're what?!? Leaving me" look on her face...

So I called Charlie on my way home from work to see how the day went. He informs me that they ran a bunch of errands. The lucky girl (smirk)went to Home Depot, Osh, Radio Shack, and Sam's Club! When I got home I found her like this...

When she finally woke up from her busy day...I told her not to worry...My next day off would be spent at the mall or maybe even lunch with the girls!! All joking aside, Charlie is great with Sofia. I'm very lucky...

Two Months Old...

Today Sofia is 2 months old.

It has been the most amazing two months of our lives!

• She weighs 9 lbs. 5 ounces.
• She is 21 inches long.
• She is eating 4 1/2 to 5 ounces still like clockwork.
• She takes a daily nap in her crib. (Still working on night time)
• She is more alert and is focusing more on people and her toys.
• She LOVES bath time.
• She likes walks with Mommy and jogs with Daddy in her stroller.
• She loves to ride in the car.
• She loves to lay on Daddy's chest and take cat naps.
• She doesn't like shots!!! =)

Welcome Home Grandma & Papa

Today we decided to try out the new Mexican restaurant, Sabor to welcome home Grandma and Papa from their trip to Maui.
