Have You Heard of the "Holiday Jingle Bear"???

Well I have. I remember having one of these bears years ago. My mom told me she still has it. Charlie's aunt Lollie actually bought the actual life size display of the "Jingle Bear"...She was looking to get rid of it...and my husband told her we would take it...(Birkenstocks for Birthday + Jingle Bear for Sofia = Marriage counseling) Anyways, I was out and about when it was dropped off and came home to this.......

Introducing the "Holiday Jingle Bear".... I'm not even kidding...And can I say the picture doesn't even do it justice....I tried to move it...and...can't! It weighs a ton!!!

Well Sofia seems to like it! Maybe if Charlie moves it away from the front door...I will compromise...and not drag it out to the trash on Monday!! =)

At exactly 6 months Sofia started sitting up, pretty much on her own. She loves to sit on the bed (that way it doesn't hurt when we tip over) in her playroom. In this picture she is reading a book....

Sofia's personality is really coming out. She is so funny. And she has a little temper. She cracks me up! I love this picture. She makes this expression all the time. I can't believe I haven't eaten her yet!!

Every morning she likes her excersaucer and a little Yo Gabba Gabba to start off her day. Could she get any cuter???

6 Month Check Up...

Today happens to be my Birthday...and...Sofia's 6 month check up! I didn't plan that one very well. Charlie was home sick from work. Another exciting factor of my Birthday....In the morning we opened presents...Charlie and Sofia bought me Birkenstock sandals...another post for another time...

(they since have been returned)

So in the afternoon we took Sofia to the doctor...As soon as her doctor walked into the room...the tears started flowing. She screamed the entire time he examined her. She weighs 17 pounds 7 ounces and is 25 1/2 inches long. Finally, the doctor was finished. It took both Charlie and I about 10 minutes to calm her down. We tried everything. As soon as she stopped crying...in walks the nurse to give her 3 shots!!!

We all know how that went over...

We came home around 3:30 and Charlie and Sofia went straight to bed for a nap. Around 7 o'clock, the rest of my family still sleeping... I ordered my favorite Chi Chi's to go. Went by myself to pick it up. And enjoyed dinner with my best friend TiVo. Not the best Birthday ever, but I was with the ones I love...so it will do!!

Santa Monica Pier

Today Charlie had the day off, so we headed to the Santa Monica Pier. Both Sofia and I had never been there, but Charlie went there a lot when he was young.

We rode the Ferris Wheel...and let me tell you it was high up there!!! Here I am thinking...Don't look down...Don't look down...
Sofia wasn't even sure about the ride...She is thinking...Where are we???

Did I mention it is high up?...My palms are sweating just posting the pictures!!!

Charlie played a little basketball...and won Sofia a little stuffed turtle...

Then we sat and watched the Dancing Disco Diva...This picture says a million words...

And you can't go to Santa Monica Pier without eating a funnel cake...Yummy! We had a great day. I love taking Sofia to new places. She is such a good baby. I wonder what else we will be doing this summer???

Hanging Out...

Sofia and I stayed home all week. I'm trying to get her back on a schedule. She partied way too hard in Arizona!!

We spent our days practicing sitting up...

Happy 4th of July!!!

We had a great July 4th! We went to Toni and Ken's beach house for a celebration! The girls looked so cute in their outfits!

The cousins always have a good time together...

Bella and Olivia played on the beach while Sofia watched...
We even got to meet little, 10-day old Ryder Jamison Quigley. Tyler and Anna's new baby boy!

Sofia took a little snooze and decided to take Aidan's woobies...

Before we left Charlie and I snuck away to take a couple of pictures on the beach...

Some fun facts about Sofia :

• She loves to be outside.
• She loves the water.
• She went on her first vacation and loved it!(Even the 9 hour car ride)
• She sleeps anywhere from 10 to 12 hours through the night.
• She is such a happy baby.
• She loves to stand on her precious chubby legs.
• She is about two days from sitting up completely on her own.
• She still loves Yo Gabba Gabba. (sigh)
• She totally recognizes family members and gets so excited when she sees them.
• Her feet touch the bottom of her excersaucer.
• She loves our dogs Vegas and Lola. She laughs at them all the time.
• She pulls out her pacifier and stares and it and has a full-on conversation with it. (My favorite thing at the moment)
• She loves her woobie.

Sofia has a 6 month check up on the 16th...yes...my Birthday...Sofia gets shots on my Birthday...I will post how much she weighs later...I'm dying to know!!
