My camera...

Charlie surprised me with a new camera five years ago. I just learned yesterday that directions are my friend AND it's a pretty cool camera!!

You can take pictures in Sepia....

You can take pictures in Bright...whatever that means?!?!

I wonder who she gets that from??? (Smirk) I love my "new" camera!!!

Mommy Needs A Shower!!!

Lately, Sofia does not like it when I take a shower. When she was smaller, she would sit in her vibrating chair and watch Yo Gabba Gabba.

She has officially outgrown her chair...So now what do I do???

Well, the new mom in me thought I have a fabulous idea...

I will bring her excersaucer upstairs and put it in front of the shower so she can see me...Perfect!!

So I proceed to prepare for my shower.. do the nakey nakey dance for Sofia...(don't ask) And she was loving it!!

Two minutes in the shower and one leg shaven...

She begins to not like it so much...

As I'm trying to rinse out my shampoo...She begins to REALLY not like it that much...
Let's just say...I ran a bunch of errands today with one leg shaved and a fabulous hair day...due to most of the shampoo still in my hair!! What is a mommy to do???

(And yes, I get "Mother of the Year" once again for taking a picture before picking her up! It was blog worthy...Come on!)

Our 7 Year Wedding Anniversary...

Today Charlie and I are celebrating our 7 year wedding anniversary! Charlie took the day off from work and we headed to the beach for a picnic! Sofia was very excited to be at the beach...

But there was absolutely NO KISSING ALLOWED!! Every time we tried to get a little kiss...Sofia would put her hand in between our lips...We were cracking up!!

We had such a great time...We relaxed a little bit...
We took some pictures...

We went for a walk...

We kept stealing mommy's sunglasses...

We even stopped by aunt Toni's to say Hi!!

When we got home from the beach...We fed Sofia dinner...gave her a bath...and took her to Aunt Jen Jen's for some cousin fun!

Charlie and I actually went to dinner by ourselves for ONLY the 2nd time since Sofia has been born. We had such a nice dinner. (Except, when Charlie got I.D. and I DID NOT...Apparently Charlie is married to a cougar!!!) Thanks Aunt Jen Jen and Uncle Andy for babysitting!

I can't wait to see what the next 7 years brings us!!

Baby Crack...

I wasn't kidding when I said a remote control is Sofia's favorite toy. And she doesn't want just one...She needs to have one...in each hand...And she nibbles from one....

to the other...

Every night Charlie has to reprogram the TV but it's worth it!!!

8 Months Today!!!

Our little Pumpkin is 8 months today!! Time is going by too fast. I'm going to have to start thinking about a little sibling for Sofia to play with. (Don't get to excited Grandparents and Aunt Jen Jen...Not quite yet!!)

Some Fun Facts About Sofia:

• She has two teeth! And a new toothbrush that lights up! She loves to chew on her new toothbrush!
• She is obsessed with our two kitties. Every time she sees or hears them, she whips around and smiles from ear to ear. The kitties give her the giggles a lot too!
• She discovered teething cookies. And if you try to take it away...Watch out!! Have I mentioned she has my temper?
• She has rolled over by herself three times only!! We are working with her everyday. I'm not worried...Have you seen her legs??? You try rolling those things over!! =)
• She gets so excited to see her family. She pretty much will go to anyone...Except Uncle Andy!!
• She has major separation anxiety when her and I are home together and I leave the room. She cries until she sees me walk back in. That's been fun. Reeeeaaaal fun. =) At least I have an excuse for not getting my chores done!!
• She eats 5 times a day. A 6 oz bottle when she wakes up. A morning snack of oatmeal and fruit with a 5 oz bottle. An afternoon 6 oz bottle. For dinner, rice with vegetables and a 5 oz bottle. And a 6 oz bottle before bedtime. (Not really important info to my dedicated readers, but something I can look back on when I have another baby.)
• Her favorite toys are: a key ring, any type of remote control, a doll named Penny, a chewable book, and teething rings.
• She still loves to take baths, go for walks in her stroller, play fetch with the dogs, watch Yo Gabba Gabba and her new favorite is Ni Hao Kai-lan (The Chinese version of Dora).

I am so excited for next month...all of the holidays coming...I can't wait!!

Smoked Out!!!

Due to all of the fires and yucky air, Sofia and I have been hanging out at home. I am hoping this weekend the fires calm down and we can do something outside. I'm getting a little cabin fever!! We have been playing with some toys...

We went shopping at our favorite store Babies R Us and bought a new toy to play with...That is her..."What's this mama?" face...

Tomorrow Sofia will be 8 months old!! It kills me. She is getting so big!!
