Cousins are the Best!!

One of my favorite things during this trip was watching the girls play together. Bella and Livvie love their cousin Sofia! This is by far my favorite picture of the three of them.

This is cousin Bella. Bella loves to sing sweet little songs to Sofia when she is fussy. She also loves to read to her cousin. Sofia gets a smile on her face when she sees Bella. It's just the cutest.

This is cousin Livvie. Livvie loves to swim and is like a fish. She was so excited that her cousin Sofia got to go swimming for the first time in Arizona. Livvie loves to give Sofia kisses. And Sofia loves to put her hands in Livvie's mouth. Something Livvie is not quite fond of!

Every night at dinner...it was...who gets to sit next to the baby.

We had to trade off!

In the morning the girls like to cuddle and watch cartoons together...

I have a feeling the three girls are going to be the Best of Friends!!

Charlie's 1st Father's Day...

On our first day in Arizona we celebrated Father's Day. Since it was Charlie's 1st, I wanted to make it extra special. The night before, when he finally fell asleep, I changed Sofia into a onesie that said, "I Love My Dad...Happy Father's Day 2009". So, it was a big surprise when he saw her in the morning. We also got to spend Father's Day with my dad and Andy. We started the morning by opening presents. Charlie got a scrapbook of him and Sofia (that I just whipped up while tending to my five month old ), a new workout outfit (you should see what he has been wearing to the gym), and a 10lb medicine ball to "sculpt his abs" (at his request). Then Grandma whipped up omelets, hash browns, and bacon. After a few photos were taken we headed down to the pool for some relaxation. It was Sofia's first time in the pool, she loves the water. Wait until you see the pictures...Sorry you'll have to wait for my bathing beauty blog...

For dinner it was supposed to be the boys choice, but after some debating...we ended up at a tiny Italian restaurant with one highchair that was currently being used. It was an interesting dinner, but it turned out really nice and the service was fantastic...

Scotsdale Arizona...Here We Come!!

Our BIG summer trip this year is finally here! We are headed to the Westin Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona for some well needed relaxation. It is Sofia's first vacation and she has no idea what she is in for. We left at 7 am...okay Jennifer...8 am to pick up Grandma and Papa and meet up with Jen, Andy, Bella and Livvie to start our road trip. Sofia was all ready to go...

Being first time parents...we weren't exactly sure what to bring for Sofia. It took Mommy one week to pack just for her. We brought everything we could think of...travel swing, play gym, vibrating chair, toys, wobbies, diapers, wipes, blankets, 3 changes of clothes per day..=), bottles, baby food, formula, Do I need to continue??? If you think I'm kidding...look at the U-Haul Daddy rented us...

After nine hours in the car, two stops for gas, three stops to feed Sofia, three stops for potty breaks (We had Grandma in the car) we finally made it! Stay tuned for some bikini shots!!!!

I love these days too!! Sofia is so much fun. Her personality keeps getting better and better...

Pumpkin is 5 Months Old!!!

I can't believe it! Sofia is 5 months old! Time sure does fly by...It is a family tradition to take a picture every month next to the same stuff animal. This is a picture I took of Sofia when she was 1 week old.

Here is her 5 month picture. She has changed so much. Each day just keeps getting better and better!!

• She loves to stand up on her little chubby legs.
• She pulls out her own pacifier, but hasn't figured how to get it back in.
• She is a few weeks shy of sitting up on her own.
• She started eating baby food, and likes it much better than cereal.
• She drinks 6 ounces every three hours.
• She sleeps usually 12 hours through the night.
• She loves Yo Gabba Gabba.
• She loves playing in her Exersaucer.
• She likes to rub her woobie and twist her hair to fall asleep.
• She smiles and laughs all the time.
• She loves the dogs. Especially when we play fetch!
• She is teething. Another post for another time. Ugh!
• She is starting to get a little separation anxiety if she isn't with mommy or daddy.
