For Charlie's Birthday, Sofia bought him a bird feeder. Since the weather has been so nice, we finally set it out. The first couple of days it was like the movie "The Birds". Tons of birds all day long. We would sit outside with Sofia and watch the birds eat the food. They weren't even phased that we were out there. Then these two chubby birds came along.....
They stand guard all day. They also take a lot of snack breaks while the other keeps an eye out. And I have to say, the one on the left has put on a few pounds!!!

I have a pair at my house too! My bro-in-law, Mike, told me that they are mourning doves. They travel in pairs and you'll rarely see one without the other. I'm not sure if they mate for life, but I guess I could ask Mike. I kinda like the idea if they do. Very sweet.
