New Year's Eve 2009!!!

Last year on New Year's Eve I was in labor with Sofia. So this year, I was thinking we need to do something BIG!!! Get a babysitter, stay up pass midnight, I don't know... something BIG!! I'm sure you can't wait for the WILD pictures of our New Year's Eve 2009....

We stayed home with our Teething almost one year old...She was up most of the night...Fussy...When she wasn't crying and fussy Charlie and I finally watched the movie "The Hangover" Hilarious!
But, there is no where else I would rather have been!!!

Babysitting

My sister asked me to babysit her girls for a few hours....Sure No problem!! Sofia loves spending time with her cousins. And I love watching the three of them play together.
I believe I mentioned before that Bella and Livvie got a puppy named Lucky for Christmas. Let's just say the few hours felt like an entire day with three kids and one puppy!
The best part was when I noticed the dog pooped on the carpet. I went over to clean it up, and apparently didn't see a little nugget, and stepped right in it! At the same time Livvie ran over to show me where I missed....and she also stepped in the dog poop. Did I mention we were both barefoot??? I put Bella in charge of Lucky and Sofia, scooped up Livvie and hopped to the bathroom on one foot. When Livvie and I were done cleaning our feet, Bella was taking pictures of Sofia on a beanbag holding Lucky. Bella said, "Look Aunt Becky I took a bunch of pictures." I literally have 80 pictures just like this.......

I have never been so happy to see my sister in my life, when she walked in the front door.

Sofia's Favorite Gift from Santa...

Dear Santa,

Thank you for all of my presents. My favorite toy was the princess car.

I get to ride it around the neighborhood...
And it makes really fun noises and plays great music.

Tiger Tiger Roarrrrrr

Sofia cracks us up all the time. Her new favorite cartoon is Ni Hao Kai-lan. Every time the music comes on she bounces up and down and gets so excited. One part of the song goes..."Tiger Tiger Roar Roarrrrr..." and then Kai-lan and her friends roar. The other night Charlie and I were at the kitchen table eating dinner and Sofia was in her bouncer watching Ni Hao Kai-lan. The opening song came on and Sofia roared the loudest ROARRRRR. It was hysterical! We laughed so hard. Now she does her tiger roar all the time. Today I got a picture of a good one.....

Someone Was Good This Year...

Let's just say...Sofia got a little spoiled her first Christmas. Charlie and I did really good. We only bought her a few small things and a Doll House. However, our friends and family showered her with presents! She is one lucky girl!!

Christmas Eve

I have been counting down the days until Sofia's first Christmas. She is just so much fun right now. We started our night at Aunt Jen Jen and Uncle Andy's...

While we were there we witnessed a couple of Christmas surprises. Santa had a special delivery for Sofia. It is called an Elf on a Shelf. A family tradition my sister started with the girls a few years ago. And now I get to share it with Sofia. Let's just say I cried. Also Aunt Cathie surprised Bella and Olivia with a new puppy they named Lucky. Let's just say I cried again.

Then we went over to Charlie's parents house to spend time with his family. It was a smaller group than usual. But really nice. We all spent a lot of quality time together.

Grandpa Chaivat and Nana Irma were so excited for Sofia's first Christmas! And even cousin Abbey was there to play!!

Daddy helped Sofia open a lot of really cool clothes from Auntie Ananya. We stayed up until midnight (yes, even Sofia) to wish everyone a Merry Christmas Patanasiri style. Sofia was asleep before we got to the end of their street. I can't wait until tomorrow to see what Santa brought us!

Making Cookies For Santa...

Today we went to my sister's house to decorate cookies for Santa with some friends. My sister did a great job, as usual, setting everything up. There was sugar cookies, frosting, and every sprinkle you could imagine.

Family Reunion at Christmas!!

Today we went over to my parents house to hang out with the family. My dad's brother Mike and his wife Alice came out from Colorado. And my dad's sister Patti and her husband Fred came out from Maryland. It was the first time that they both got to meet Sofia...

We had a great weekend. It was so nice having everyone in town. We had a nice dinner out, made a gingerbread house and spent some good family time together. I'm so happy they finally got to meet Sofia!!

Santa Claus

Tonight we took Bella, Livvie, and Sofia to see Santa. It was Sofia's first time. My sister told me not to let her see him and just put her on his lap. As soon as I sat her down, she rubbed his soft and fuzzy jacket and looked up at him and starred. No tears!!

Poor Sofia!!

What a night we had!! Wow. This night by far has been the hardest since the day Sofia was born. Charlie and I laughed and cried and didn't know what in the heck we were doing. It all started around 8:30 pm. Sofia sound asleep in her crib woke up screaming like we have never heard her scream before! She had cold like symptoms and couldn't breathe through her nose. Did I mention she is a bikini sucker??? We sat in the steamy bathroom for hours, I called the advice nurse at Kaiser, and we drove around and looked at Christmas lights twice. She fell asleep both times in the car and woke up as soon as we got her out...SCREAMING...The third and final car ride, at 4:00 am, she fell asleep. We finally got smart and took her out IN her car seat. In the morning we took her to urgent care and she has an ear infection. Needless to say...Sofia has been sleeping in our bed in her car seat for four nights. Today she fell asleep on the couch...I see a crib in her near future!!! Poor Sofia!!

My sister and Andy gave us their two-seater jogging stroller after cleaning out their garage one day. Let's be honest...I thought...what in the hell...do I do with a jogging stroller??? So on Saturday morning, Sofia and I picked up her friend Peyton and we went for a walk...(I don't jog people!!)

Sofia is 11 months!!

Yes it is true!! Our little pumpkin is one month shy of her first Birthday! I know it's typical to say, "I can't Believe it"..."It goes by so fast!"...But seriously it does!! Time to send out the Birthday invitations!

Fun Facts About Sofia

• Sofia says "Pooh", "Bye", "Up", and "Wow". She also likes to repeat words that people say. Like, "Watch", "Papa", "Tickle Tickle". So cute!
• Her favorite toy is Winnie the Pooh. She says "Pooh" when she wants her favorite stuffie. We also have a neighbor with a bush shaped like a bear on their front lawn ( about 15 houses down Thank God!) and everyday we walk by "Pooh" and she waves to it.
• She loves her cousins Bella and Livvie Girl. She has so much fun with them. They make Sofia laugh so hard. And she lights up when she sees them and kicks her legs.
• She has NO interest in crawling...but boy does she want to walk.
• She has eight teeth and is working on her 9th.
• She only likes real people food. We gave her some on Thanksgiving and she has not touched baby food since.
• She loves to eat rice (just like her Daddy), noodles, and pasta. She loves fruits and vegetables, as long as they are not green!
• She finally likes her pack and play. Which makes mommy really happy!
• Christmas lights are her Best Friend. When we drive around looking at them she says, "Woooowwww" Hilarious!!

Each day just keeps getting better and better!!

A Day at the Beach with the Pierces

Today we met up with the Pierce family. We have been friends with the Pierce family for years. We go way back. Since everyone was in town for the holidays we decided to get together. We met at Venice Beach and walked around. It was such a beautiful day at the beach. Brent and Nikki Pierce live in Reno so they got to meet Sofia for the first time. We were so excited to introduce Sofia to their daughter Mackenzie. We ended the day with a delicious dinner at Duke's in Malibu. Thanks Pierce family...Always good times when we all get together!!

Thanksgiving Part 2

Today we went to Aunt Cathie's house to celebrate another day of Thanksgiving. We know how to do it right in this family!! Bella, Olivia, and Sofia were Polka-Dot triplets!! This was the only picture I got before my camera batteries died. I promise more people were there.We had a really nice time! Thanks Aunt Cathie and Uncle Rick!!

Sofia's 1st Trip to Disneyland...

Today was Sofia's 1st trip to the happiest place on earth!! Oh what fun! Papa, Grandma, Aunt Jen Jen, Bella, Livvie, Nana Irma, Charlie, Sofia, and I had such a great day. A lot of good memories.
